In our society, as students, I myself have a fear of possibly dying at school. Thinking about how someone can walk into our school and create a mass murder. School shootings are something that is normal in our country and it’s made an impact on me and how I view the world and my peers. In every class I have, I look around the room and I make a plan if we ever had something to happen here. I believe that our students here at Basehor Linwood need to be more aware of the world around us. Our school needs to be enlightened on how we as a school can try and create awareness and be able to prevent something like a school shooting from happening here. I’m ready to change our society and I hope you will join me on the journey.
